Autumn Ending

Updated: Nov 2, 2020

High above a valley

on a cool, November day,

I saw the clouds foreboding,

as they drew her breath away.

The forest down below,

her colors soon would fade,

as the mist of breathless oaks,

crawled into the grey.

And so it is with autumn;

the forest feeds the sky,

until the spring wets the ground,

the chill had just licked dry.

So now I’ll say goodbye.

What else is there to say?

You can never stop the sky,

from drawing life away.

Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye.

Your love & your whisper;

Your breath into the sky.
